Toronto Zoo Animal Photos

Toronto, Ontario

 Welcome back!

Sorry, I've been MIA for quite awhile...I started a job as a Job Coach to a young autistic man and I work two days per week with him. It's been quite a blast, but tiring as well! :-) I've also been working on my card creations, getting a Facebook page ready and posting pics, etc.

Keturah also came for a visit so we tried to get out and enjoy the weather when we could. We still enjoy going out, even when it's cold...we just bundle up! Today is a rainy day, so I'm  catching up on computer work. I had to go through the next folder of pics on my hard drive and found these zoo pics...Brooke and I went back in June 2015 and these are some from that visit...

A white rhinoceros, paper white butterflies, clouded leopard and some fish. The last four are behind glass, so they aren't the best I've done! :-)

Have a great week!

Huntington Beach State Park

Welcome Back!

This time I'm highlighting the last of the photos from the Huntington Beach State Park. They include shots of tiny little crabs, small fish and some scenics of the area! The last photo shows a few crabs in the one photo..not quite sure how many are there!

Well, the weekend was a good one! I spent some time with the girlies, out shopping on Saturday, while Dad did some consulting work. On Mother's day, I took it easy..Keturah made me homemade waffles with raspberries and chocolate (yummy)! We went for a walk, got groceries and headed out for a delicious dinner at the Greek Islands when Brooke got off work. I was also gifted with some beautiful yellow roses and some Alex and Ani bracelets---I'm so spoiled! :-)

Well, another quiet week..so far, anyway! Hope to go to the gym today and Thursday and get a haircut tomorrow...that's my excitement for this week! :-)

Next time I will start highlighting my photos from the MB Zoo.

Enjoy your week!

A Few From the Indomalayan Pavilion!

Welcome Back!

This time I'm highlighting a few I found in my files that don't fit into a specific category...

The fish and first three turtles were shot through glass. The last turtle (soft shell) was shot while he was swimming under the water, so it makes him look enlongated! And I threw in some floral shots that I liked.

I think I'll highlight photos of a pretty bird next time!

Well, not much new this week..just trying to stay cool and battle allergy symptoms! SIGH. I'm glad school is starting next week so I can get everyone into a routine again and my house should be cleaner too!

We are taking Brooke to Waterloo on Sunday for the start of her orientation week. Not looking forward to it as I'll probably be crying the whole day, but excited for her at the same time!

More soon!

The Huntsman Part 2

Welcome Back! This week I'm including the last of the good photos from the Huntsman Marine Science Centre in St. Andrews, NB. We always enjoy it there because, as you can see from the photos, there is quite a variety of critters to check out!

This week I've included 3 fish, who shall remain nameless, as I didn't write it down in my journal! :-)
4th photo- is a sea urchin. We saw some in the wild in St Andrews as well, which we picked up and poked and terrorized! Just kidding!
5th-8th photos- are skates. They were so very cool. One came up out of the water for his photo opp and one wanted to see if Brooke would feed him! The other two shots are of them cruising around the pond.
9th & 10th Photos-are a grey seal who would not pose for a decent photo, so these are the two best ones! :-)

Have a great week!

Shots from Under the Sea!

Well, ok, how about just from under the water? Here are some shots taken at the Niagara Falls Aquarium in Niagara Falls, USA. Yep, with our handy passports, we just popped over to the Aquarium for a couple of hours to enjoy the fish!

These were all shot through glass and I thought didn't look too bad considering!

1st pic-Nurse Shark
2nd & 3rd pic-Unknown(if you know, leave me a comment!)
4th pic-Clownfish playing in the sea grass/weeds
5th pic-Lionfish

Fishin in Myrtle Beach

No, we didn't actually go fishing in Myrtle Beach, but we saw a lot of cool fish at Ripley's Aquarium there. I can't remember all the names, but the second one is a puffer fish (who really liked my camera flash and was posing for me) and the fourth picture is of a jellyfish. We really enjoyed visiting the aquarium and I took about 300 pictures there! Here are some of the better ones...remember, these are shot through glass!!
