Even MORE Great Blue Heron Pics

Napanee, ON

 Welcome Back!

This week I have even more pics of the Great Blue Heron from the Napanee Conservation Area...You do remember I said he was a favourite of mine, don't you? Anyway, I am almost done the pics of him from this one visit! Not sure what will be up next..maybe I'll throw in some pics from our new home in Grand Manan, not pics of our house, but pics of the whales...Kevin went whale watching in August with my brother-in-law, who was here visiting and they got a bunch of great pics! I'll show them off soon!

Anyway, here are some of the great blue heron in the meantime...I'll have a few more next week and then something different!

Have a great week!

Even MORE Great Blue Heron Pics

Napanee, ON

 Welcome Back!

This week I am continuing with photos from May 2015 of the Great Blue Heron that is found at the Napanee Conservation Park waterfall.

The first few pics show him with ruffled feathers...he does this every now and again..maybe he has an itch or something! He looks so much bigger and fluffier when he does it.

The rest of pics are some of him watching for fish or catching fish...Or the fish jumping into his mouth.

This week has been busy as I finally finished organizing my craft studio and then started my Christmas cards. Lots of fun! I can't believe summer is almost over and school starts next week!

Have a great week!

More Great Blue Heron Photos

Napanee, Ontario

Welcome back!

This week I have more pics of one of my favourite birds....The Great Blue Heron. This guy is found a lot of the time at the bottom of the waterfalls at the Napanee Conservation Park from spring to late fall.

In most of these pics, he's doing his favourite past time--fishing for food! He must have really good eyes to be able to catch some of these little fish with the water swirling all around.

Well, Kevin started work this last week...yep, he got bored!...I'm looking, but haven't found anything yet.

I'm still organizing things in my craft room and in the house, so we went to Saint John yesterday to pick up more organizers, etc.

More heron shots next week. Have a great week!

Napanee Conservation Park

Welcome Back!

This time I'm including the last of the heron photos taken on a sunny day in August at the Napanee Conservation area (waterfall park)! The last couple of shots are of a old building at the top of the waterfall (it's part of the old mill that used to be there) and one of the waterfall. If you look close, you can see the heron at the bottom.

I'm not sure what I'll highlight next time..probably get into the vacation shots from Grand Manan..I only have a couple thousand of them to go thru.... :-)

Boy, it was sure hard to get back into the routine this week...I did not like getting up at 6:15am again! I slept til 9:15 today to catch up! :-) It would help if I slept through the night, but since that doesn't happen very often, I guess I'll just have to catch up when I can! :-)

School went well and fast this week...finished a couple of website assignments using Dreamweaver and started taking some courses at home to use WordPress... I'm told that web designers use it more than Dreamweaver and its not covered in my Web Design Program. I will be writing the exam for DW this week and then onto the next course! I can't believe how fast it is going and how much I've been learning AND that I'm still loving it!

Have a great week!

The Heron, Pt. 3

Welcome Back!

This time I'm highlighting the last of THESE heron pics! I may have more from another outing, but this is it for this day. Next time I'll include a few shots from Springside Park, but will be mostly flowers, scenery, etc.

Well, I can't believe this week is over already! Time sure flies some days! I've been busy doing paperwork to go back to school the last couple of weeks. So, fingers crossed, it all works out. It should be fun and challenging and keep me out of trouble too! :-)

Zeek and myself have gone on a lot of walks this week...a couple down the road and a couple in town at Springside Park. I'm loving this cooler fall weather...I know, most of my friends are cringing and cursing me about now, but I'm looking forward to winter!

Nothing planned for the weekend...Enjoy it!

The Heron, Pt. 2

Welcome Back!

This time I'm highlighting more photos of the heron taken at the local waterfall. I tried to add different poses, but in all  honesty, he doesn't move a whole lot! I did include a photo of him from behind...he is soo skinny! Another one of him catching his lunch and one of him fluffed up a bit, after he stretches everything out!

Well, this week I'm trying to get back into a routine of sorts so Zeek and I went on our first walk down the road. All was good and he even enjoyed it, I think! I must have been half asleep because I took my car key with me instead of the house key, so managed to lock myself out! Duh! Luckily the window was open, so I had to get a planter from the back deck and stand on it to reach the window! That was my excitement for this week--so far!

Enjoy your week!

The Heron

Welcome Back!

This time I'm highlighting some of the heron shots. These shots were taken at the waterfall. He's been there a lot lately. I sometimes have my camera...My family likes it when I leave it at home, so I don't hold them up! :-) I'll have a few more pics to highlight of this gorgeous guy, so please bear with me!

Well, I'm certainly glad it is Friday. I am SOOO tired...Along with my variety of appointments today and Tuesday, Kevin and I were in Waterloo for two days. Two days of non-stop action, I tell ya! Brooke kept us busy, unpacking, shopping, washing, moving and lifting furniture, arranging and re-arranging, etc. etc. We did take a break and go to the St. Jacobs Market. We bought a lot of fruits and veggies and even a treat for Zeek!

I am hoping to sleep in tomorrow, but having said that, I probably won't...maybe I'll go to bed early tonight?

Nothing planned for the weekend! Have a good one!
