Algonquin Park Moose, Pt. 4

Algonquin Park, Ontario

Welcome Back!

Guess what? More moose pics this week...lots with the tongue sticking out! :-) Don't you hate it when you see an unflattering picture of yourself?

A few of these are some of my favourite poses for the moose! I just love them!

Anyway, I'll keep this short as we had a busy day today...cleaning and organizing the house...gotta get it ready to sell!

Have a great week! More moose next week!

Algonquin Park Moose, Pt. 3

Algonquin Park, Ontario

Welcome Back!

This week I'm highlighting more of the moose pics...can you ever see TOO many moose pics? I took a lot, therefore you must see a lot or not visit the blog for a few more weeks! :-)

It's funny that Algonquin Park is the only place I've ever gotten pics of the moose. Yep, not even at the Toronto Zoo. They are way back at the farthest point north at the zoo and after hiking there once or twice, I couldn't even see them as they were lying down at the back of their enclosure..I was bummed for sure!

We did see a couple in New Brunswick, but they were along the highway and you aren't suppose to stop to take pics (darn)....There are sooo many Moose Warning Signs too, you think there would be a lot more moose, but no matter what time we've driven through, we've only managed to see the 2 and one was heading back into the woods. Maybe all the bright yellow signs scare them off the road...the flashing signs help keep me awake when we drive through the night to NB!!

Anyway, I'll have a few more next week (and for the next few weeks too)!

Have a great week!

Algonquin Park Moose, Pt. 2

Algonquin Park, Ontario

Welcome Back!

This week I am highlighting more of the moose shots from Algonquin Park, taken in May 2016. I get alot of the first shot, sadly....If we get there too late, they are often heading back into the woods...sometimes, they stick around for quite awhile, eating cattails and drinking the salty water along the road side. Sometimes they even cross the road...

They are pretty easy to shoot, as they just kinda stand there, they don't move too fast, at least we haven't seen any move overly fast, but heard they can...

Probably the worst thing about shooting them, is the lighting...sometimes, it's too sunny and you have to play with the lighting options on your camera, but that's what makes photography fun..playing with your tools!

Have a great week!

Algonquin Park Moose

Algonquin Park, Ontario

Welcome Back and Happy New Year!!

I can't believe it is 2017 already...where did 2016 go? Well, on to new and more wonderful things for 2017, I hope!

I must have been a good girl this year as Santa gave me a new Nikon camera body...I have two pretty versatile lenses, so only really needed the body! I'm loving it so far, but I need to get out and take more pics now that I know how to use all the new features~ took me awhile to go through the manual! :-)

This week I'm highlighting some more moose shots from Algonquin Park...These were taken during our visit last May..we usually always head up that way on the long weekend and usually always see some sort of moose. I think we saw 3-4 that day, but I don't think I got pics of all of them...sometimes they are heading back into the bush or they are too far away.

I hope you don't get bored with all the shots I have lined up of the moose over the next few weeks (months)...I included the pic, if I like it for some reason..his eyes, his stance, his tongue sticking out! :-)

Anyway, enjoy and more next week!

Have a great week!
