Welcome Back!

This week I am highlighting more birds from the larger aviary at the Bird Kingdom in Niagara Falls...Hard to believe this was 1 year ago! How time flies. This March break, I worked every day. Others were off at work, so I had to stay and slave away! I love it, so it wasn't that big a hardship! :-)

These birds are:

1st-Senegal Dove

2nd-Scarlet Ibis

3rd-Eastern Rosella

4th-Nicobar Pigeon (amazingly colourful feathers)

5th-Eastern Rosella

6th-Scarlet Ibis

This week did go by fast and as mentioned, I worked right through the March Break! Kevin was off and finally finished some of the ongoing renos. Keturah moved out to her own apartment in Kingston, so I moved my craft room/computer room into her old bedroom, so now I don't have to go down into the cold basement when I want to craft!

We went to visit Brooke in Waterloo yesterday..we stocked her up on groceries, took her shopping, went to the park and for a nice dinner at Ennio's (we made reservations this time!) We got home around 11pm last night, so am a bit tired today..oh well, I should sleep well tonight!

Welcome Back!

This week I start highlighting birds from the big aviary called the "Discover the Kingdom". This aviary has many free-flying birds as well, some who are pretty friendly too! They also have a Java Hut, where you can purchase snacks and drinks as well as an enclosed area, where you can buy some tasty bird liquid and feed the lorikeets, who most always attack you if you are holding a cup of this stuff! :-)

Anyway, today I have a Bulbul sitting in it's nest, a D'Arnaud's Barbet (juvenile one), a pigeon, a Conure and a couple of photos of the Scarlet Ibis. There were quite a few of these birds standing around and even fighting over the ledge at one point...hilarious to watch, but very pretty birds and one of my favourites!

This week again went by fairly fast..time flies when you are having fun right? I must be having a great time, then! It was nice to have a long weekend this weekend, even though we did not do too much! Brooke came home on Saturday for reading week and we went out for a nice dinner...Sunday and today, were grocery and laundry day and getting caught up on my Criminal Minds! :-) Spent some time in my craft room too, so not too bad a weekend!
