This time I have more butterflies from the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls...I'll likely have a few more weeks of butterfly shots, so please hang in there!

Hard to believe the Labour Day Weekend came and is almost gone already! I took Friday off for an extra long weekend and boy, was it restful..I did the usual chores/cleaning, hiking, shopping and even some crafting! It was a quiet weekend as Brooke was away visiting the BF and Keturah was busy too! I guess we better get used to the empty nest again as Brooke is leaving for University on Wednesday (I think)!

Welcome back! 

This week I have more of the butterflies from the conservatory in Niagara Falls. I've been there several times and very seldom do I get the "same" shot of them...they are always moving and landing on different things..sometimes even people!

Well, we had a great holiday on Grand Manan Island. We picked a good week to go as it was soo hot here...There, the hottest day was 23! My kind of weather! We wore sweaters almost every day, especially in the mornings and the evenings.

This time I'm highlighting more photos of butterflies and their surroundings from the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls.  These include a little bit of everything! This post alone, shows some of the many different species you are able to find in this building! Always a good time!

Anyway, this will be my last post for a couple of weeks as we are headed down east to my favourite Island of Grand Manan in New Brunswick. I am so looking forward to the break and getting away too! Only 3 days of work this week for me! Yay!

Welcome back!

This week I'm highlighting more butterfly pics from the Conservatory in Niagara Falls. There are so many there and quite a few varieties too! 

Well, I didn't get to post last week as I was busy going through my bazillion photos for an Art Show that I am taking part in, in the fall. I am submitting 7 or so photos, so finding the ones I want to use has been a full time job lately! I also attended a full day workshop at work last Saturday too, which was very enjoyable, but cut my weekend short :-(

Two more weeks until vacation time! I can't wait!

Butterfly Conservatory, Pt. 2

Welcome Back! 

This week I have more butterflies from the Conservatory in Niagara Falls! As mentioned in the last post, I don't know the names of all of them, so I hope you will admire them without knowing what they are!

Sorry, I didn't get to post last Sunday. Kevin and I went to the South Simcoe Railway, north of Toronto so we (he) could ride a steam train for his 50th birthday! It was interesting but a very long drive for a fairly short ride..however it was long enough for me...it wasn't a very scenic ride, but was okay! 

I took the day off on Monday, but ended up doing laundry and groceries~~all that fun stuff! I also did some binge-reading too last weekend! :-) That's the only downside of getting rid of our satellite dish...I read way too much now! I don't miss the dish at all though. I thought I might, but I usually had it on as background noise, now I listen to my music instead, especially if  I'm reading or Facebooking! :-) I do have several episodes of Criminal Minds and Big Bang Theory saved if I feel the need to watch it, but haven't done so very much!

This week I'm starting to highlight the butterflies (and other photos) from the Conservatory in Niagara Falls! We've gone there several times, although it it much nicer in the summer as they have gardens and ponds to check out...We were here last March, so we ended up just visiting the attractions inside...

I cannot remember all the names of the butterflies, so I'm just going to leave these here and let you enjoy these un-named beauties! Their website is not very informative in regards to identifying them, so that's my excuse! :-) They sell a booklet that tells you about each one and I do have one somewhere! It is probably packed away at this time...

This is the last of the photos from the Bird Kingdom in Niagara Falls! Next week, I'll have some photos from the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara Falls!

These are photos of the Silver Pheasant, Scarlet Ibis and Green-winged Macaw. Lots of colourful birds there!

This week went by fast again..don't they all? :-) We took Kevin out for dinner on Saturday night for his Father's Day dinner as both girls worked today. I went and got my groceries and did laundry and all that fun stuff today! Also managed some time in the craft room yesterday and today, I read a couple of short novels! A perfect, relaxing weekend!
