3rd-Blue & Gold Macaw
4th-Black-capped Conure
5th & 6th-Silver Pheasant

The last couple of weeks have gone by so fast again...been busy, even on the weekends! I taught a class yesterday and am sick with a cold..mostly in my throat, but it's not fun...Just had a nap, so maybe that will help! Now, I have to get my chores done!

Have a great week!

Bird Kingdom

Bird Kingdom, Niagara Falls, Ontario

Welcome Back!

This week I'm highlighting some pretty birds...These guys were found at the entrance to the Bird Kingdom Attraction in Niagara Falls. This is one place we always return to when we go to Niagara Falls...it is usually so relaxing, you can sit and watch the birds for hours. They even have a little cafe in the midst of the big aviary, where we usually partake of some kind of beverage too!

I'll have lots more in the coming weeks, but these are a green-winged macaw and a blue and gold macaw. I'll let you figure out which is which! :-)

This week went fairly quickly again and was quiet, especially after the craziness of Black Friday! I've been getting some shopping done and working on some Xmas tags too when I'm home...I stayed home all day yesterday because I have a stupid cold and am trying to shake it, but it got the best of me yesterday, so I didn't even go outside. Today, we made up for it with our usual grocery shopping, a trip to Kingston for some Xmas shopping and ice cream too! Just finishing up my laundry and then off to bed...Nyquil has been my best friend this week! :-)

Have a great week!

Alligator Adventure: Feathered Friends

Welcome Back!

This time I have some photos of the pretty birds found at the Alligator Adventure in Myrtle Beach. They include macaws, snuggling in the first photo, a bunch of my favourite shots of the swans, who were following us around the pond (we had corn) and a couple of emus. The emus are found on the trail around the whole Adventure. It's a nice walk around there as you can see other farm animals and more alligators of course!

Well, I'm sure glad this week is almost over..it's been tiring with appointments and getting up early! I don't know how I managed to do all these appointments and work before! :-)

This weekend, will find me sorting through some spring clothes to launder and pack as we leave next Friday morning! I can't wait..I'm so ready to ditch this snow!

I'll have another post early next week! Enjoy your weekend!

Alligator Adventure: Birds

Welcome Back!

This time I'm highlighting some birds shots from the Alligator Adventure. These include the macaws, some pretty swans and a couple of duck pictures. I have a bunch more of the ducks and small birds, so I'll highlight them some time soon as well...next week- more alligators!

Well, I can't believe it is Friday already! Time sure flies! I got some good news yesterday, my Uncle can move to a nursing home closer to us..to Friendly Manor in Deseronto..so that is a big relief.  I had a meeting in Westlake yesterday and it took me 55 mins both ways for a 10 minute meeting! SIGH..Oh well, I had a short visit with my Uncle until it started snowing, so I headed home. I'll see him this weekend again to get him packed up and ready to move on Monday!

Well, finally a weekend with no scheduled snowfall or snowstorm! YAY! Now, what to do?

Enjoy your weekend!

A Bunch of Birds!

Today I have some shots of birds taken at the Alligator Adventure! They also have snakes, but I'm pretty sure I would lose some visitors if I post the shots I have of them! :-) I am posting 9 photos today because I want to finally say goodbye to that folder and move along to another one, finally!

Sorry for the delay in posting this week. I had my neice over for the weekend and Keturah and I did our Saturday volunteer work and then volunteered again at Sandy Pines Wildlife Centre Baby Shower all day Sunday too and I was there last night for our usual night as well! Whew..This is the first time I've been on my laptop since last Friday, I think! Oh well, it's all good!

1st-3rd pics-ducks that I didn't get the names of!
4th pic-macaw
5th & 6th pics-some type of merganser ducks I'm guessing by their head/beak shapes
7th & 8th pics-mute swans
9th pic-wood duck

Thanks for visiting! More next week!
